The monastery, an Agioreite share of the Holy Monastery of Simonos Petra, developed rapidly and today, under the shadow of the Agioreite spiritual heritage, it is the largest women&#8217;s monastery in Greece. The Sisterhood with more than 120 nuns is a model of monastic life in Greece with universal influence.<\/p>\n<p>Space and time in the Monastery of Ormylia has stopped centuries ago, in the Byzantine era.
