Near the village of Vatopedi and at a distance of 3 kilometers from the villa is the Holy Hermitage of Saint Arsenius of Cappadocia which ecclesiastically belongs to the Holy Metropolis of Kassandreia.
The Monastery was founded in 1986 and was inaugurated by the Metropolitan of Kassandrea. It was established with the exhortation and wish of the Most Blessed Elder Paisios.
The katholikon is a Byzantine-style church with a dome. It is celebrated on November 10 in memory of Agios Arsenios of Cappadocia and on October 1st of Agia Skepi according to the Byzantine tradition. Today it has 14 monks.
The Monastery does not accept pilgrims Monday – Wednesday and Friday. The rest of the days he accepts in the morning 8:00-1:00 and in the afternoon from 5:00 until 8:00. Group visitors are also accepted after telephone consultation.
