Holy Monastery Of Saint Arsenios The Cappadocian

Located near the village of Vatopedi and just 3 km from the villa, the Holy Monastery Of Saint Arsenios The Cappadocian is a significant religious site belonging ecclesiastically to the Holy Metropolis Of Kassandreia.

The monastery was founded in 1986 and was inaugurated by the Metropolitan of Kassandreia. Its establishment was inspired by the guidance and blessing of the revered Elder Paisios.

The monastery’s main church (Katholikon) is a Byzantine-style church featuring a dome. It celebrates the feast of Saint Arsenios The Cappadocian on November 10, as well as the Protection Of The Holy Mother on October 1, according to Byzantine tradition. Today, the monastery is home to 14 monks.

The monastery does not accept visitors on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On the remaining days, visitors are welcome in the morning from 8:00 to 13:00 and in the afternoon from 17:00 to 20:00. Group visits are also welcome following prior telephone arrangements.
